"Candy" is the debut single from British-Brazilian rapper, Aggro Santos. The single features vocals from ex-Pussycat Doll, Kimberly Wyatt. It is available as a Digital Download on 2 May 2010, with a physical CD Single release the following day. The single received placement onto BBC Radio 1's B Playlist in April 2010.[1] It is also reported that "Candy" will appear on the soundtrack to upcoming summer film, StreetDance 3D, which is set to be released on May 21, 2010.[2]

Critical Reception

"Candy" received a positive review from Robert Copsey of Digital Spy stating: "Santos provides many a dodgy lyric ("Girl you look familiar / Where do I know you from? / Have you been to visit me at Aggro Santos dot com?"), but all is forgiven when the track reaches its Kimbo-crooned hook, which provides a satisfying blast of electro fuzz over the throbbing, David Guetta-esque beats." [3]

Music Video

The music video premiered on VidZone where only PlayStation 3 users could watch.[4] The full video release was on the next day when Aggro Santos posted the video on his official Youtube account.[5] In an interview on The Alan Titchmarsh Show Kimberly revealed that she was choreographing the video.

Chart Performance

"Candy" first debuted on the Irish Singles Chart on 6 May 2010 at a current peak of #44. While in the UK Singles Chart it debuted at number five due to digital downloads alone. On 13th May, the song has charted even more and due to chart at number 3 in the UK singles charts.
