Appearance
This is a documentation subpage for Template:Chicken chains. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Collapsed state
This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse
, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.
To change this template's initial visibility, the |state=
parameter may be used:
{{Chicken chains|state=collapsed}}
will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.{{Chicken chains|state=expanded}}
will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.
Usage
When placing this template on the article pages, please use the following guidelines:
- Please place the template after any template that is company specific. E.g. in the Pizza Hut article the {{Yum!}} template would go first, then this one.
- When there is another similar template, such as {{Restaurant chains in Ireland}}, place the template that covers the country the company is based in first. E.g. in the Pizza Hut article, this template would go second because Pizza Hut is based in the United States.
Guidelines for inclusion
When adding new chains to this template, please follow these guidelines:
- Global chains are defined as having locations in at least three countries.
- Regional chains are defined as having locations in a single country, or two adjoining countries, eg US and Canada.
- Please do not add chains that have less than a hundred or so locations.
- This template should only include chains that are national or are in a sizable region of a country. For example, if a chain has only a few locations in a single US state, it should not be included.
