Judith Ralston

Judith Ralston (nee Tonner) trained as a musician from an early age. She continued her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the Royal Northern College of Music and Toronto University. She won many awards and competitions. A singer known for her dramatic interpretation and sheer beauty of voice, she had a successful career which took all her over Europe and North America.

She returned to Scotland in 1999 and started a new career in broadcasting at BBC Scotland. She has had a wide and varied career here, from presenting classical music programmes for Radio Scotland and Radio 3 and articles to being a regular voice of travel and weather on Radio Scotland. From news reading to presenting the weather. She is now one of the main weather presenters at BBC Scotland.

Ralston was born in Edinburgh and is married to the meteorologist and photographer Fraser Ralston. They have one son.
