Confédération nationale du travail

The CNT-F (Confédération nationale du travail) or National Confederation of Labour is a French anarcho-syndicalist union. It was founded in 1946 by Spanish anarcho-syndicalists in exile and former members of Confédération Générale du Travail-Syndicaliste Révolutionnaire CGT-SR , its name is derived from the Spanish CNT, the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo.

Three organisations share the name CNT actually :

• the CNT-Vignoles (or CNT-f), from the name of the street where is located their main office in Paris. They declare to be no more anarcho-syndicalist but "revolutionnary unionists". Anarchists are minority inside CNT-Vignoles (cf. interview of the National secretary in the external links).

• the CNT-AIT. It is the french section of the International Workers Association (IWA). They define themselves as anarchosyndicalist, while they have clear influence from council communism, FORA's worker anarchism and situationism.

• the CNT 2ème UR which is a little group located in Paris, working alongside with CNT-AIT Paris
