Milan Purović (born May 7, 1985 in Titograd, Montenegro, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) is a professional Montenegrin footballer currently playing with NK Olimpija Ljubljana on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal, as a centre forward.

Club career

After making his professional debuts with FK Budućnost Podgorica, Purović played for Red Star Belgrade from 2005–07, alongside Nikola Žigić, with the strikers standing at respectively 193 and 202 cm.

He attracted interest from several clubs outside Serbia and signed for Sporting Clube de Portugal in 2007.[1] However, he only managed two league goals in 15 contests in his first season, and would be loaned to Turkish first division outfit Kayserispor for 2008–09.

In 2009–10, another loan ensued, as Purović moved to Hungary's Videoton FC. It would be however a short-lived one, as in early 2010, in the same predicament, he moved to Slovenia with NK Olimpija Ljubljana.

International career

A member of the Montenegro national football team, Purović made his debut against Hungary during his country's first international match as an independent country, on March 24, 2007.

Previously, he represented Serbia and Montenegro at the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship, alongside future Sporting teammates Vladimir Stojković and Simon Vukčević.
