Introduction

Albyn Hospital is a private hospital in Aberdeen, Scotland situated on Albyn Place and is run by BMI Healthcare. It provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialities, generally provided by consultants and general practitioners from NHS Grampian.[citation needed]. Prior to being taken over by BMI in 1997 the hospital was known as St John's Hospital. The hospital has three theatres, 30 beds and 14 consulting rooms.
