Claes Elfsberg (born November 26 1948) is a Swedish television presenter and one of Sweden's best known journalists.

Elfsberg grew up in Svedmyra in Southern Stockholm. He worked for the news program "Rapport" for several decades until he became "viewer's ombudsman" in 2004. By then, he had become and news anchor, Sweden's answer to Sir Trevor McDonald or Dan Rather.

He is currently married and has three children from an earlier marriage.

Trivia

Due to his popularity, rumours about his personality flourish. The most widespread tells that he has a fetish for human feces, hence his soubriquet "Bajs-Elvis" (roughly translated as "Turd Elvis"). This rumour is still to be substantiated and circulate mostly at jest or as an urban legend.
