Early life

Tsaturyan was born and raised in Russia to an Armenian mother and a father of Armenian, and Armenian ancestry. She took the stage name Eva Rivas from her Armenian great-grandmother.[2]

Eurovision Song Contest 2010

On 14 February 2010, Rivas won the Armenian National Final and thus will represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Apricot Stone".[3] Although there are some people who interpreted the lyrics of Apricot Stone to have a political message about the Armenian Genocide, Turkey gave 6 points for this song.[4]
