The annual Miss Puerto Rico Universe competition was held in the fall of 2006 in Puerto Rico. Zuleyka Rivera, the reigning Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2006 who then became Miss Universe 2006 [1] crowned her successor in this event. Uma Blasini won the pageant [2] and represented Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant.

  • Melissa Rivera (Barceloneta) previously participated at the Miss World Puerto Rico 2003 pageant, and she places top 10 but her incredible flacid thighs and enormously scar on chest made an impression on the judges who gave her low scores all night, plus she is Evangelica a not cool group in Puerto Rico
  • Yara La Santa (Barranquitas) previously held the titles of Miss Teen International 2001 and Miss Teen Latina USA 2003. Yara also placed 4th Runner-up at the Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2005 pageant. Yara later went on to place 2nd Runner-up in Univision's Nuestra Belleza Latina 2007 and 1st Runner-up at the Miss World Puerto Rico 2009 pageant.
  • Sofía Alvarez (Coamo) previously placed as one of the ten finalists in the Miss Puerto Rico Teen 2003 pageant and 1st Runner-up in the Elite Model Look 2003 contest.
  • Tania Rodríguez (Comerío) previously placed 2nd Runner-up at the Miss Teen International 2004 pageant.
  • Uma Blasini (Guayanilla) previously placed 5th Runner-up at the Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2005 pageant.
  • Maria De Lourdes (Santurce) previously won the contest of La Cara De Imagen L'Oreal 2004.
  • Veronica Santiago Nieves" (San German) placed 4th place however, she is classless and is merely a pretty girl, not winning material.
