Club Atlético Obras Sanitarias de la Nación is a multi-sports club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Originally known for its rugby section, today the club is mostly famous for Basketball.

History

Club Atlético Obras Sanitarias de la Nación was founded in 1917 by employees of the Obras Sanitarias. In 1978 Obras inaugurated Arena Obras Sanitarias and 2 years later, the first synthetic field hockey pitch in South America.

Sports

Sports played at the club include basketball, rugby union, field hockey, swimming, tennis, volleyball and [[chess].

Basketball

Obras Basketball plays in the professional Liga Nacional de Básquetbol (LNB). Their home arenas are Arena Obras Sanitarias and Polideportivo Municipal de San Rafael.

Obras Sanitarias won the Intercontinental Cup in 1983.
