New Jersey's 4th Legislative District is one of 40 in the state, covering the Camden County and Gloucester County municipalities of Clementon Borough, Franklin Township, Glassboro Borough, Gloucester Township, Laurel Springs Borough, Lindenwold Borough, Monroe Township, Newfield Borough, Pitman Borough, Washington Township.[1] As of the 2000 United States Census, the district had a population of 210,282.[2]

Demographic characteristics

The district's percentage of Asians, the elderly and Hispanics are all below the state average. The percentage of foreign-norn residents is teh second lowest in the state.[3][4]

Political representation

The district is represented in the New Jersey Senate by Fred H. Madden (D, Washington Township) and in the New Jersey General Assembly by Domenick DiCicco (R, Franklin Township) and Paul Moriarty (D, Washington Township).[5]
