KION 46 is a CBS affiliate for the Salinas/Monterey Santa Cruz, CA market. It broadcasts their channel on 46 with Digital TV on channel 32. The station airs local news, weather, sports as well as local community affiars programming as other misscellainious programs. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications.

KION 46 originally started out as KMST-TV in the late 1970's and early 1980's. KMST was available in markets that reached from the Monterey Bay area to San Jose, California. By 1993, San Jose's TCI cable opted to drop KMST. In 1995-96, KMST changed affiliates and turned into KCCN-TV channel 46. KMST and KCCN was still owned by Ackerley Group. Sister station KCBA FOX 35 soon became Joint with KCCN at this time and thus the station is #1 with primetime programming. In 1997 KCCN Changed call letters again this time to KION-TV. In 2000 Clear Channel Communications bought Ackerley group and as a result, KION is the #1 most watched station on the central coast.

Their sister station is KCBA-TV FOX 35 and their radio station is KION AM 1460 AM.
