Herr Nilsson is Pippi Longstocking's monkey in the books by Astrid Lindgren.

"Herr Nilsson", literally translated from Swedish is Mr. Nilsson, although, since the surname "Nilsson" and the "-son" construction is very common in Sweden, it should be considered the equivalent of Mr. Jones or Mr. Smith.

"Herr Nilsson" is also a pop group from Bergen, Norway. They have released two LPs, "I`m No Elvis" (2005), and "Downhill Thrill" (2007). In 2008 they released the EP "Tuesday Is My Birthday". The band returned in 2010 with the LP "Long Live Herr Nilsson".
