Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Kevin Nalty. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 01:58, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Same applies to Cory Williams and Fred (YouTube). – ukexpat (talk) 01:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar

Hi there, be careful when editing articles written in US English. For them, band names and sports teams take a singular verb, e.g. the New York Jets is a sports team etc. It's weird to Brits, but there it is. Cheers, Bretonbanquet (talk) 22:35, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bad example, sorry. In American English the verb treatment for sports teams does vary. But generally they take the singular, like band names, e.g. Nirvana is a rock band etc. I'm not explaining it terribly well, but there are guidelines, like WP:PLURALS. Bretonbanquet (talk) 22:47, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you're right, and certainly with individual people it's always singular. I think the main difference is that if you talk about the team just in terms of the place name, e.g. Indianapolis (instead of Indianapolis Colts), an American might say "Indianapolis was leading 14-0" whereas a Brit would say "Indianapolis were leading 14-0". Hell no lol, too much work. We can all read each other's articles well enough, there are just these little differences and some people get really wound up when they're written wrongly. People have been blocked after big arguments about this stuff! But usually it ticks along pretty well. Bretonbanquet (talk) 12:07, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jayhawk of Justice

I'm not sure what led you to User talk:Jayhawk of Justice's page, but they're indefinitely blocked (and have been so for almost a year). I've removed the comment, as they won't be able to respond to it in any case. Dayewalker (talk) 00:38, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All those edits

Regarding List of the oldest men: you didn't have to revert every single one of those edits to get at that one edit. jc iindyysgvxc (my contributions) 06:23, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
