Return to HorrorLand is the thirteenth book in the Goosebumps: Series 2000. It is a sequel to One Day at HorrorLand (Goosebumps #16). Lizzy, Luke, Clay and two new characters, Derek and Margo Strange, go to HorrorLand. The book was first published in January, 1999.
Plot
Lizzy Morris remembers the trip she took to HorrorLand along with her parents, her brother Luke, and their friend Clay. They had barely escaped with their lives the last time, and now all five of them, have to go back to Horrorland with a different turn of events.
Lizzy, Luke and Clay are watching a TV show called Strange File when Darren and Margo Strange, the hosts of Strange File, invite them to come to HorrorLand and prove that it is an evil, dangerous place. At first, the kids are skeptical, but then they agree. The usual HorrorLand antics occur, along with different, more dangerous attractions, including a Haunted Tomb and a Teeth-Chopping Dentist.
But the three kids soon discover that the main death ideas, like in the first book, are again happening as the other humans at the park mysteriously vanish. Lizzy, Luke and Clay manage to escape one particular group of Horrors before dressing up as the monsters by stealing costumes from the shop and announce that they will take care of themselves, before escaping.
On the way out, the trio are picked up by the Stranges and appear to be driven away from the park. Unfotunately, they hear that the Stranges are actually working for the Horrors as they are taken back to HorrorLand. Inside the park, the Horrors are waiting to kill the three children. Lizzy and the boys are resigned to defeat as the Horrors and the Stranges prepare to push them off a cliff.
However, the Horrors fail to finish them off and they are soon saved by a man and a woman in disguise. In their car, Lizzy, Luke and Clay learn the two people are hosts of a show called Weird Copy. The last scene ends with the car driving into the parking lot of an amusement park called Terrorville.
