Engineers Australia is a professional body (and not-for-profit organization) dedicated to being the national forum for the advancement of the engineering feild within Australia. It has over 79,000 members coming from all engineering feilds (27,000 of whom are students).

The origanization began in the late 19th century during the Industrial Revolution, recognizing the need for a single body to represent engineers, rather than the numerous smaller organizations that existed then. Its first council meeting was held in 1919, electing William Henry Warren of the University of Sydney as the Engineers Australia's first president.
