Karibasawa Station (狩場沢駅, Karibasawa-eki) is a railway station on the JR East northern Tōhoku Main Line located in the town of Hiranai, Higashitsugaru District Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 701.1 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Tōhoku Main Line at Tokyo Station, and 57.9 rail kilometers from the intermediate terminus at Hachinohe Station.
History
Karibasawa Station was opened on January 4, 1894 as a station on the Nippon Railway. It became a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR), the pre-war predecessor to the Japan National Railways (JNR), after the nationalization of the Nippon Railway on November 1, 1906. Regularly scheduled freight services were discontinued in February 1962. With the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under the operational control of JR East.

Station layout
Karibasawa Station has an island platform and a side platform serving three tracks, connected the station building by an overpass. However, only tracks 1 and 3 are in use, and the rails for track 2 have been pulled up, giving the station an effective structure of two opposed side platforms. The small station building is unmanned.
