DYK for Gap Yah

Materialscientist (talk) 00:05, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me?

Any reason, or just an accident [1]? DuncanHill (talk) 16:00, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa! Sorry, not sure what happened there! I even have a script that removes the [rollback] button from my watchlist, so I'm not even sure how that could have happened. Apologies! – Toon 16:06, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, well no harm done. DuncanHill (talk) 16:09, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Hamptons

If you contest my proposed deletion, please define exactly what The Hamptons are in the article. Users will continue to argue over the definition. Specifically, I'd like you to address what "the area" is, to which you referred in your contest. --rbn 18:12, 3 May 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by EttAme (talkcontribs)

I'm happy to continue this discussion at the article's talk page. – Toon 18:21, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have a moment?

There's an outstanding question at WT:CCI. Given the low viewership of that page, more input would be appreciated. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:11, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'll just tidy up some things and will head over. – Toon 20:14, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sue Nye

Hi Toon,

Sue asked me herself to correct innaccuracies in Birth Place and Date. If I've done it wrong (I don't do much editing) let me know, but hte current info is incorrect.

That was actually a mis-click on my part, I've reverted myself. In line with our polices, you should provide a reliable source to back up the information - after all, you could be anyone. – Toon 20:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I appreciate I could be anyone, but Sue doesn't do technology and so asked me, and probably wouldn't be minded to try and "prove" who she is or what her details are - but it was irritating her them being wrong. I'll see if I can find a public reference to back it up and cite. Also hadn't updated one occurrence in the text, so have modded that one too. rgds. glongbot —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glongbot (talkcontribs) 21:54, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My upcoming vacation

Moonriddengirls have evolved to leave the internet occasionally, but those who encounter them elsewhere are often startled by the sheer wrongness of seeing them out of their element.

Hi. :) I'm going to be away from Wikipedia from May 13th until May 27th. If you have time, can you pitch in a bit at WP:CP? I'd hate to come back to a two week backlog. :/ (You're not the only person I'm asking; I'm hoping to keep it from overwhelming anybody. :)) My preparation and family obligations have already got me a bit behind, but I'm going to try to get it current through Wednesday, anyway. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you enjoy your holiday! I will be sure to stop by when I have the time and energy, although my job is stopping me from contributing as much as I would normally like, so it won't be anything massive, I'm afraid! By the way, I'm sure that a psychologist could get a lot of mileage out of your choice of creature... – Toon 17:36, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
LOL! I just find them fascinating. I'll grant you that they're not really attractive, but fish! That walk! Seeing those guys in action on documentaries has always astonished me, and I can only imagine what it would be like to encounter one strolling around in person. :) Anything you can pitch in would be appreciated. I know you are busy. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:57, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

David Cameron

He deserves it. LuGiADude (talk) 20:53, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't possibly comment on that. – Toon 20:55, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You once reverted some deletions of referenced material from the Peter Holmes a Court entry. This page has become contentious again and there are now some editors banning contributors for posting referenced material, not the other way around. Please have a look at the entry and the edit history if you have the time.Edasent (talk) 15:30, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Picture status

Hi Toon, when you have a moment would you have a quick look at this discussion about a Library flickr pictures (no known copyright) Off2riorob (talk) 20:38, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just got in from work and am knackered at the moment; I may not have time to look until the weekend, I'm afraid, hopefully I won't have missed all the fun by that point. – Toon 22:42, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
