Fadzil Mahmood

Fadzil Mahmood (? - June 9, 2010) was a Malaysian politician who served as the Speaker of the Perlis State Assembly from September 9, 1986 until October 4, 1990[1] during the administration of Abdul Hamid Pawanteh as Menteri Besar of Perlis.[1] He represented Utan Aji in the assembly. Mahmood also served as a state executive councillor from 1990 to 1995.[1]

Mahmood wife, Datin Fatimah Ismail , died on May 6, 2010, at the age of 71.[1] He was soon after admitted to Tuanku Fauziah Hospital for a heart ailment on June 2, 2010.[1] Mahmood returned home from the hospital on June 8th.[1] He died at his home Kampung Surau, Utan Aji, Perlis, Malaysia, at 3:30 a.m. on June 9, 2010, at the age of 73.[1]

Mahmood was survived by two daughters, Faniza and Fazlin; two sons, Faiz and Faisal; and five grandchildren.[1]
