In the fall, Homedale students compete in football, boys and girls soccer, and volleyball. Winter sports are wrestling and boys and girls basketball. Spring sports include baseball, tennis, track & field, and softball.
Achievements
For many years, the Homedale football team enjoyed success on the gridiron. State championship trophies date back to the 1970s. The team has failed to make an appearance at the state championship in recent years. In 1969, the school claimed its first and only state championship in boys basketball. In 2009-10, the boys basketball team claimed the consolation trophy, defeating conference rival Fruitland in the state tournament. In 2007, the boys track & field team placed third at the state meet in Boise, and in 2008 the team placed fourth in the same meet.
Homedale's most successful spring sport as of late has been the softball team. In 2006, the team made a showing at the state tournament and took home the consolation championship. In 2008, the team made another appearance at the tournament, this time placing third. This sport hasn't won a state championship since it won three in a row in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
