Padua Academy is an all girls Catholic school in Wilmington, Delaware. Padua as it is usually called is within walking distance of its male counter-part Salesianum and durring the activities periods of both schools students will often trek from one school to the other. The school currently sends students to Salesianum and Ursuline Academy first period for honors and AP classes that cannot by found at Padua and in turn receives students from those two school for classes that can only be found at Padua. The high school was founded in 1954 by Rev. Joseph L. McCoy, O.S.F.S. and built in and with the help of members of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish. The school currently serves about 600 girls.

Trivia

  • Padua students wear sweaters during the colder months, the upperclassmen wear maroon ones and the underclassmen wear navy blue ones.
