A toddy is a hot drink made from a spirit, hot water, sugar (or honey and lemon). Commonly used spirits include whiskey and rum.

A hot toddy is often used in the United Kingdom to help warm people up, calm people down and reduce fevers.

Toddy is also a liquor fermented from coconut and palm saps in parts of South India, particularly Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where it is known by the name of Kallu (കളള) and in the Philippines where it is known as Tuba.

Toddy is tapped by a Toddy tapper either from coconut or other palm trees. The initial white liquid that is collected tends to be very sweet and is not fermented enough to be alcoholic. After letting the liquid settle and ferment, the drink becomes alcoholic in nature. Distilling Kallu produces a whiskey called Arrack.

In Kerala, Toddy is usually available at a "Toddy shop", which translates to "Kallu Shap" in the regional language of Malayalam. In Chennai, Kallu is currently banned, though the legality fluctuates with politics. Without legal Kallu, there arises the problem of (lethal) methanol being illicitly sold as Arrack. To discourage this practice, authorities have pushed for inexpensive Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), much to the dismay of toddy tapers.

Cold press coffee is a brewing process that takes about one pound of coarse ground coffee placed in a closed container and filled with cold water. Wait 12 to 18 hours and drain through a filter into a carafe. The resulting concentrate is smoother than espresso and usually doesn't have the bitter bite that espresso shots can sometimes have. It is advertized as being particularly suitable for iced coffee and Americanos.

Seattle's Best Coffee Company also is now serving a drink called the "Naughty Toddy". This is not made with alcohol but instead a toddy coffee concentrate that is made by cold brewing of coffee and adding to white chocolate sauce, bittersweet chocolate sauce, half-n-half and whipped cream.
