Walsall Cricket Club

I am involved in Walsall Cricket Club and we are looking into the early history, some evidence has come to light that suggests that the club was actually formed in 1812, this evidence is from a local newspaper that suggests the club was celebrating it's 60th aniversary in 1872.

I notice that you are a consumate contributor to wikipedia and wondered if you could help with this early history of the club.

Banyak Islands

hi. I have a question about the Banyak Islands. I want to ask if Bangkura and Bangkaru is the same island or are two different islands. In Google Earth program it seems that are two distinct islands.Arthasfleo

A tag has been placed on Image:Birmingham redevelopment plan.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Birmingham redevelopment plan.pdf|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.

Commons account hacked?

Hi Erebus555,
could it be that your account on Commons has been hacked? Though I don't know anything about your work here and little on Commons, todays actions of your account on Commons were so strange (compared to your earlier uploads) that they raised alert. From your account an explicit image was uploaded over an existing high-profile image of Stockholm, therefore guaranteeing wide distribution. Your comment would be welcome. --Túrelio (talk) 15:23, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I have not used my Commons account for quite a while. I have no idea what happened there; those were certainly not my edits. I'm very confused and concerned as to how the person got my password so I have changed it.
Thanks for pointing out what had happened though, I'll keep a closer eye on it over the next few weeks. Thank you. - Erebus555 (talk) 17:05, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Best would be to immediately try to change your password on Commons. If you can't log-in with your old one, you'll know for sure it has been compromised. --Túrelio (talk) 17:20, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed my password for my Commons account now, and for this account as both passwords were the same. It seems all the malicious edits were just to that particular image and nothing else has been done. - Erebus555 (talk) 19:09, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The "problem" image (versions) have been deleted. However, in case you want to have totally removed the edits themselves from your user edit history, you would have to ask one of our oversighters. --Túrelio (talk) 21:43, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Erebus555! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 14 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Peter Corey - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

An editor has nominated West_Midlands_bus_routes_51,_X51_and_951A, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/West_Midlands_bus_routes_51,_X51_and_951A and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you.

File source problem with File:Hanriot-1-.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Hanriot-1-.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:20, 25 July 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:20, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
