"Don't Believe in Love" is a pop song performed by Dido. It is the first and only single from her third album Safe Trip Home. It was released on 27 October 2008.[1][2]

Release

The song was premiered on radio stations on 1 September 2008.[3] "Don't Believe in Love" was released for digital download in Italy and in Spain, where it peaked at number 1 and 2 on the iTunes chart on 29 September 2008, alongside many other European countries and Australia.[4] The physical CD single was released in United Kingdom on October 27, 2008[5] and it was released in Germany on October 31, 2008.[6]

Music video

The music video for the song was shot in a ranch near Los Angeles with producers AlexandLiane on the week beginning 15 September 2008, as confirmed by her official site. It premiered on Dido's official YouTube account on October 30. The music video was available as a free download at the UK iTunes Store on 3 January 2009 / part of the "12 Days of Christmas" Promotion.

The song only peaked at #54 on the UK Singles Chart, making her lowest single to date on UK. The song peaked at #2 on the Italian Digital Singles Chart. The song topped the Portugal Singles Chart and became a top 10 hit in Israel, Turkey and Greece. The song has reached #20 on the Japan Hot 100. The song was also certified 2x Platinum in Italy (40,000 copies).
