Göschenen railway station, in the Canton of Uri, Switzerland, is an important railway junction on the Gotthardbahn railway line, at the northern end of the Gotthard Rail Tunnel.
The Gotthardbahn connects Göschenen via Immensee with Zürich in the north, and via the Gotthard Rail Tunnel and Chiasso with Milan in the south. This very heavily trafficked standard gauge line is operated by the SBB-CFF-FFS.
There is also a very short metre gauge branch line, the Schöllenenbahn, between Göschenen and Andermatt, just 3.75 kilometres (2.33 mi) to the south. The Schöllenenbahn is operated by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB), and connects the Gotthardbahn with southern Switzerland's metre gauge railway network.
