Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is the eleventh incarnation of Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo series of Saturday morning cartoons. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and is a reboot of the frachise.
The series has a markedly more dark and mature tone than previous series, featuring much more detailed drawings and backgrounds, as well as more dramatic, dynamic lighting and camera angles (sometimes enhanced with CGI). The characters are now more fleshed-out and we learn more about them as individuals. There is also more prominent romantic element. The humor, too is often more mature and self-referential than previous series.
It is the first series in the franchise with Shaggy voiced by Matthew Lillard, who portrayed the character in two live-action films, Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). Casey Kasem (the original Shaggy) remains present in this series by voicing Shaggy's father. Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated premiered on Cartoon Network on July 12, 2010 and airs new episodes every Monday at 7 pm ET (11 pm UTC). A special sneak peek episode, which also serves as the pilot, was aired on April 5, 2010. The series will make its UK premiere on Boomerang in October.
Plot
Fred Jones, Jr., Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers and Scooby-Doo make up the team of teenage mystery solving sleuths known as Mystery Inc. who live in a small town called Crystal Cove. The older generation and parents use the town's long history of ghost and monster sightings to bring in tourists, which leads to conflicts between the gang and their elders.
While solving mysteries, the gang must deal with a mysterious character, who is not yet revealed as friend or foe, named "Mr. E" (a play on 'mystery') who said they almost uncovered the whole mystery of Crystal Cove.
Aside from the main story, the show also focuses much of the attention on Velma and Shaggy's relationship as well between Fred and Daphne, although Velma and Shaggy are currently the only ones actually dating. This series marks the first time there has ever been a romantic relationship between the two characters.
Episodes
The episodes are currently airing in HD and the show is also available on iTunes and Amazon for individual purchase.

1 | "Beware The Beast from Below" | A Magnifying Glass Shaped Locket found in the Crystal Cove caves | The Slime Mutant/Professor Emmanuel Raffalo | 5 April 2010 (Sneak peak) 12 July 2010 (Officially)
After being jailed by Sheriff Bronson Stone for solving another mystery, the Mystery Inc. gang stumbles upon yet another mystery: A slime mutant that lives underneath the town is cocooning anyone who gets in its way. They follow the monster to the Crystal Cove caves where they find a magnifying glass-shaped locket and cocooned bodies of construction workers. Despite being warned not to continue investigating by their parents and authority figures, they steal one of the bodies and bring it to Professor Emmanuel Raffalo for studying. Meanwhile, Velma is trying to get Shaggy to be more intimate in their relationship while Shaggy is not yet ready to tell Scooby. Daphne keeps hinting her romantic feelings towards Fred who is oblivious to almost everything apart from solving mysteries and building traps. After the disappearance of Professor Raffalo, the gang discovers that cocooned material are made from the same material as Fruitmeir's Dessert, a new dessert bar that opened two months ago. Shaggy and Scooby infiltrate Fruitmeir's by posing as female servers, and Daphne stumbles across a hole that leads to the caves which go right under the bank. Although not as planned, they catch the monster just as Mayor Jones and Sheriff Stone arrive. When the kids state that Franklin Fruitmeir was the monster, Franklin then shows up. The Slime Monster is actually revealed to be Professor Raffalo, who discovered the caves while collecting mold spores and found out it led to the bank, so he posed as the Slime Mutant using Fruitmeir's Dessert and staged his own disappearance to lower any suspicion and frame Franklin. When Daphne shows him the locket she found in the caves, Mayor Jones seems suspicious, but Raffalo claims to know nothing about the locket as he is taken away. Sheriff Stone states that despite the fact that the town lost a stream of revenue, he actually thanks the kids for preventing an attempted bank robbery. Later that night, the gang is contacted by a mysterious man called Mr. E who says they have uncovered "a truth that should have remained buried" and that "the real mystery has just begun".
2 | "The Creeping Creatures" | A package full of imitation gator skin products from Gatorsburg. | The Gator People/Grady, Greta and Gunther Gator | July 19, 2010
After weeks of not solving a single mystery, the gang is sent a package from Mr. E. The package contains a new handbag made in Gatorsburg, claiming to be "real 100% gator". As Velma explains, this could not be possible since the "gator mines" dried up years ago. Fred decides that they should go to Gatorsburg to investigate. Upon arriving, Velma becomes angry with Shaggy for not telling Scooby about their relationship. They can never be alone because of Shaggy's fear of how Scooby will react. When the gang regroups, having found no clues; they decide to leave. Unfortunately the Mystery Machine's engine is missing. A mechanic named Grady Gator arrives and tells them that they are stuck in Gatorsburg and a new engine will not arrive until morning. The gang attempts to call their parents and pick them up, but they cannot for various reasons. Looking for a place to stay, Grady tells them they can stay at his sister Greta's hotel and warns them to not leave their rooms. Greta and her son Gunther bring them to their rooms. Greta puts the boys and girls in separate rooms. She makes it very clear that no one is to leave their room. Since pets are not allowed, Scooby is forced to sleep in the Mystery Machine. Velma almost immediately violates the rules by leaving her room to go see Shaggy. Shaggy, feeling worried about Scooby, leaves to go check on him and runs into Velma. He lies and says he was coming to see her. Meanwhile, Scooby is attacked by three Gator People. He runs into Fred's room where Fred was showing a bored Daphne a scrapbook of all the traps they've used to solve mysteries. The Gators attack them but they are able to escape. Velma and Shaggy are about to kiss when they are they are interrupted by the rest of the gang bursting into the room. Everyone runs and leaves Gatorsburg by pushing the Mystery Machine. The Alligator People stop chasing them once they reach the city limits. Fred realizes they just wanted them out of town. They sneak back in and see the Alligator People loading Alligator Products onto a boat. Daphne (who is allergic to fake animal skin) shows the guys the products are actually fake. By using a trap, they catch the criminals. The police arrive, and it is revealed that the Gator People are really the Gator family, who made fake gator products to make money and assumed the disguises of the Gator People to scare away visitors. Sheriff Stone was disatisfied with buying an imitiation alligator skin coat and orders his men arrest the Gator Family even though they have no jurisdiction in Gatorsburg. The gang finds the Mystery Machine with the engine replaced and a note from Mr. E telling them that this mystery is only "one piece of the puzzle". As it begins to thunder, Scooby jumps into Shaggy's arms. Shaggy and Velma smile as Shaggy holds Velma's hand.
3 | "Secret of the Ghost Rig" | Tire tracks/New tires on the truck/A CD from Mr. E | The Mysterious Ghost Trucker/Rung Ladderton | July 26, 2010
Crystal Cove is terrorized by a mysterious Ghost Truck that has been running people off the highways. Meanwhile, Fred is helping his dad who is running for reelection against George Avocados. Daphne's parents are trying to set Daphne up with Rung Ladderton, the heir to a ladder company. During all this, many crystal doorknobs have been stolen. Later, while the gang is driving the Mystery Machine, the Ghost Truck rams them off the road. Surviving with no damage, they contact the police. Fred then uses Daphne's phone to take pictures of tire tracks. He sends them to Angel Dynamite, who confirms the only people in town who own those tires are G. Nurno Treddel and George Avocados. While the others follow George, Daphne is on her date with Rung at the Bloody Steak. Late, he arrives moments before the others arrive from an encounter with the truck. After Rung leaves, Scooby finds a CD from Mr. E in a menu. Listening to it, he mentions a diamond, which relates to how George Avocados's father stole a diamond and disguised it as a crystal doorknob. Leaving, they soon discover a set of tire tracks ending at a mountainside. Unlocking a secret cavern, they find all the missing crystal doorknobs plus a journal that belonged to George Avocados's father with a confession to the theft of the diamond. The truck then appears and chases the gang to City Hall. Fred's traps he set up earlier capture the truck in a large pool with a shark. The driver is then revealed to be Rung Ladderton, who wanted the diamond to make money since his ladder company will soon be going bankrupt. Velma points out that the other person Angel mentioned to have bought the tires, G. Nurno Treddal was Rung Ladderton spelled backwards. The next day, Mayor Fred Jones Sr. announces that Mystery Inc. ruined yet another tourist attraction but saved the stolen diamond. Mayor Jones then appoints Scooby as a chief of pizza affairs.
4 | "Revenge of the Man Crab" | An Old 8 track And An Old Newspaper From Mr. E | The Man Crab/Bud Coleman | August 2, 2010
During a volleyball tournament down at the Crystal Cove beach which is promoting Peter Trickell's Triquids (a new healthy water product), a Man Crab appears and attacks everyone. It seems to have taken a liking to the girls in the tournament. Later, Fred builds a trap, but it fails when Shaggy accidentally gets trapped in it, thus getting Daphne kidnapped by the Man Crab. Fred is then in a stunned emotion while Daphne is absent. Later at K-Ghoul Radio Station, Mr. E leaves an old news article about four kids who disappeared in the Crystal Cove Caves. When Angel reads it, she seems to be hiding something about them. When the gang visit the Morgue, a section in the library where they keep old newspaper articles, they find out there are caves that run underneath the beach. Investigating the caves, they find all the kidnapped people and free them. The Man Crab then appears and chases Shaggy and Scooby up some wooden stairs and through the sand to find themselves on the volleyball court. When Shaggy and Scooby unintentionally lead the Man Crab to Fred's trap, they suspect Skipper Shelton only for Skipper to show up. They unmask him to be Bud Coleman, a young man who wanted revenge on Peter Trickell for taking the credit for his water and had planned to have Skipper Shelton to take the fall with some evidence in Skipper's locker. When Daphne asks why he can't sue, Bud states that lawyers would take too long. Later when the gang meet at K-Ghoul, Daphne explains to Fred that Velma told her about the way he had freaked when she was kidnapped. After Fred tries to explain, Daphne asks Velma if she had missed anything while she was gone. Velma then shows her the article sent by Mr. E. Daphne then gasps and explains that two of the kids in the article are the same kids who were in the picture in the locket she had found in the Crystal Cove Caves. Velma then says there may be an even bigger mystery behind the locket. Angel then appears and turns off the microphone she was listening through to hear the gang speak. She turns and looks both depressed and suspicious.
