Capesthorne Hall is the home of the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, the Queen's chief representative in Cheshire.

The Capesthorne Estate contains a number of houses and farms. The current hall is in the Palladian style and boasts fine gardens, including a lake.

Regular events take place at the hall, including a vintage car show, which in 2005 featured a large number of classic American models.

The current lord is William Bromley Davenport. His wife is an American painter.
