Uma Pemmeraju is a top- and bottom-of-the-hour news reader on Fox News Channel. She previously held a similar position with CNN Headline News.

Originally from India, Pemmeraju moved to Texas with her family when she was six years old, from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. She and her two brothers were raised by her parents with a strong sense of their Indian heritage, while embracing their new American identities.
