Ski Station
Template:Infobox Norwegian station
Ski is a railway station located in Ski, Norway. Located 24 km from Oslo S on Østfoldbanen, it is the point where the railway splits in two into an eastern and western line.
The station is served by all passenger trains on Østfoldbanen. This includes InterCity Express services to Halden and Gothenburg, as well as commuter trains to Moss and Mysen. Ski is also terminal station for a commuter trains service to Oslo that stops at all stations on Østfoldbanen.
New station
In the mid 1990s Østfoldbanen between Ski to Moss was upgraded to double track and 200 km/h. Plans to build a new parallel double track from Ski to Oslo, Follobanen, is being projected by the Norwegian National Rail Administration. The first stage of this involves building a new station at Ski.[1] The new station will include six platforms.[2] There is a controversy whether the eastern line should be connected to the new high-speed line.[3]
