Accor (EuronextAC) is a large French multinational corporation, part of the CAC 40 index, whose main business is running chains of hotels and restaurants. These include, starting from the most luxurious ones, Sofitel, Novotel, the Mercure Network including Dorint, Libertel, Orbis Hotels, Parthenon Apartments and All Seasons, Ibis and many other, smaller chains located in the USA and in Canada including Motel 6 and Red Roof Inns. All Seasons hotels are mainly in Australia, Dorint and Orbis in Central Europe, and Parthenon Apartments in Brazil. Accor also runs cooking schools, travel companies and casinos. Ticket Restaurant and Luncheon Vouchers are run by them also.

Accor has frequently seen its reputation smeared, unsurprisingly due to aggressive business/work practices including anti-unionism, poor conditions for immigrant workers, information-sharing with other hoteliers/businesses (designed to make it difficult for ex-Accor employees to find future work if they ever disagree with Accor in any way or have a falling out) and a tendency to sponsor major events, especially sports, in a shallow attempt to give the company a 'good corporate citizen' type of PR boost.
