Armando Alonso Rodríguez (born 21 March 1984 in San José) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who currently plays for Deportivo Saprissa. Alonso scored a goal in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup 2008 quarter-final match against Atlante F.C. on March 19, 2008.[1]

International career

Alonso has made six appearances for the Costa Rica national football team, including five qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.[2] He made his debut in a friendly against Peru on March 26, 2008.[3]

He also played in the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals in Spain.[2]
