Laki (Kurdish:لەکی, Lekí [needs IPA]) is a Northwestern Iranian language. Although it is usually grouped with Southern Kurdish dialects,[4][5][6][7] Ethnologue classifies it as a fourth subgroup of Kurdish.[2] Ethnologue has cited its lexical similarity with Luristani as 78%, as 70% with Western Persian, and as 69% with Northern Luri.[8] It is spoken in the central Zagros region of Iran (provinces of Lorestan, Ilam, Kermanshah, Hamedan, Qazvin, Khuzestan) and in small parts of Iraq[citation needed] by the Lak people. Most Laks live in Alashtar, Harsin, Sahneh, Koohdasht, Nurabad, and Khorramabad.
