Bart Le Blanc, (born Lambertus Johannes Carolus Maria Le Blanc, 4 November 1946, St. Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands) is an economist, with a career spanning the sectors of public finance, banking, industrial finance, fund advisory services, and asset management.

Career

Bart Le Blanc' first position was that of economic advisor to the Office of the (Dutch) Prime Minister, there followed a posting to the Ministry of the Interior, which was in turn followed by his appointment as Director General of the Budget of the Netherlands. His departure from the public sector (Civil Service) was followed by a spell as Directory Vice President of F. van Lanschot Bankiers, before being asked to participate in the creation and structuring of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (E.B.R.D) in London, 1990. He was then appointed the E.B.R.D' first Secretary General, 1990, before becoming Vice-President of Finance, under the presidency of Jacques de Larosière. In September 1994 Bart Le Blanc left the E.B.R.D in a strong position, to join "La Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations" (Paris) as Director of International Finance. In 2001 Bart Le Blanc was named as Chairman of KLIQ B.V, a subsidiary of KG Holdings BV, where he was directly accountable to the Minister of Social Affairs for the Netherlands. Since 2004 Bart Le Blanc has been Chief Financial Officer of URENCO Group.

Education

Bart Le Blanc graduated from the University of Tilburg (the Netherlands) with a Masters in Economic Sciences in 1973, this was followed by a Doctorat in Law (Phd) from the University of Leiden(the Netherlands).
