Hitman 5 is an upcoming instalment in the Hitman video game series, allegedly in development by IO Interactive [2]. Although the game and its developer have yet to be announced, according to Eidos president Ian Livingstone "Hitman always has been and always will be IO Interactive's baby, which it still continues to be so." [3] In the EIDOS annual report it was stated that they "[...] are looking forward with much anticipation to the sequels to Just Cause and Battlestations: Midway, which are already in development, and new versions of world-leading franchises Tomb Raider and Hitman."[4]
Agent 47 will return as the protagonist of Hitman 5 and will depart from the shadows to become the world's deadliest assassin. [1] [5]
