Adhapara is a small village in the district of Jharsuguda in Orissa, India. It is about 35 kilometers away from Jharsuguda. Buses run almost every ten minutes from Jharsuguda to Ib Thermal, which is a kilometer away from Adhapara.

The language spoken in this village is SAMBALPURI (KOSHLI). It is the regional language of western ORISSA. People here do also understand ORIYA, HINDI and ENGLISH. The village is situated near (about 2/3 km away) from Ib-Thermal Power Station (a govt. Of ORISSA PSU). It is the most develloped and educated village in its perifery. Schools located in the village include U.P School Adhapara, M.E School Adhapara, and Jawahrlal High School, Adhapara.

It is a village with huge cultural values. Actually it was situated in a different location. But due to the construction of Hirakud Dam in the river Mahanadi the original village had to be displaced. PRATEEK BHOI LOVES THIS VILLAGE VERY MUCH.
