Hayley Angel Wardle (previously Hayley Wardle) (born 27 February 1983) is an actress born in London, England.
She spent the formative years of her childhood growing up in the South Bank area.
Early life
Hayley was originally brought up in Southwark, and educated in Sloane Square. Her father is musician Jah Wobble[1] and his collaborations with various artists such as Brian Eno and Björk exposed her to many influences. She studied drama at the innovative Anna Scher Theatre, as well as classical ballet at the London Studio Centre.
Career
At age 14, she appeared in British TV show Casualty. In 2000, Hayley's first break came playing the daughter of Anita Dobson and Leslie Grantham in in there screen revival for two part drama 'The Stretch' for Sky films. She also guest starred in an episode of the BBC drama The Robinsons with Hugh Bonneville.
She then played one of the lead roles as drummer Neve, on Channel 4 TV show Totally Frank, about a girl band, which aired between 2005-2006. Hayley played the drums for this role and toured nationwide UK venues as the band “Frank” and simultaneously released a single and album.
In 2008 she guest starred as Kiki, in a new comedy show screened on MTV and Paramount called Fur TV in which she plays the lead singer of girl band Legs etc.
Hayley appeared as the lead actress Sophie in the debut of new musical Departure Lounge at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival Summer 08 at the George Square Theatre, winning the Scotsman Edinburgh Fringe award for Best Music.
She appears in the cult rockabilly horror film Flickreleased in North America Oct 29th 2010 as Young Sally Andrews, playing alongside Faye Dunaway. She was also notably seen for the part of Jane Birkin in Joan Sfar's 'Gainsbourg'. The UK premiere screening was at the Raindance Festival October 3, 2008 and was also screened at Cannes Film Festival 2009. She also appeared in Sky One's critically acclaimed drama Martina Coles The Take opposite Tom Hardy as Kitty Mason.
