Non-notable artist. Perhaps 3 google hits for 'Barbara Argento painter'. Article reads like a sales brochure as well.-- Syrthiss 18:28, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • This reads an italian would evaluate a work... in an eloquent style and should not be discounted because Syrthiss is unaware of Italian critical style. I have read Syrthiss' criticism and find it unprofessional. It is not at all fair to cross culturally discuss the value of an artist, because someone is new to the Internet but not new to the field of art.... look at the paintings! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.81.224.212 (talkcontribs)
  • Delete. Doesn't seem to pass WP:BIO or the unofficial but applicable professor test. --Kinu 18:47, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In researching the background of the previous delete comments it seems that neither have demonstrated a notable background in art, the Italian art world, nor art history to be able judge this entry, but they have been voting to delete others articles.....with what objective?User:silverb 19:52, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: One does not need a background in art/art history/anything in particular to voice their opinion on an article's subject based on their interpretation of the criteria for inclusion mentioned in WP:BIO. --Kinu 20:13, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all the information and help...I see that this is rather a free-for-all forum where people with an economics background or someone heavily into video games will be in charge of deleting pages of artistic content. I kindly withdraw myself from this particular arena and wish all of you at Wikipedia the very best.Silverb 20:10, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
