Scabiosa stellata is a species of flowering plant in the honeysuckle family known by the common name starflower pincushions. (Formerly it had been placed in the teasel family.) The inflorescence is a dense spherical cluster of flowers that yield showy fruits with fan-like funnel-shaped papery bracts.
