Vladimir Lifschitz is a Computer Scientist specified in Knowledge Representation. He is currently a professor at the University of Texas, Austin . He is one of the leading researchers in non-monotonic logics and logic programming.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics (1969) from Steklov Institute of Mathematics, Russia.
