Charlie Carr is a freelance trumpet player in the Salt Lake City area. He is currently working towards a Jazz Studies degree at Brigham Young University.
History

[edit]2006-2007
[edit]In 2006 Charlie began his first venture into jazz with the Downbeat award-winning Crescent Superband in American Fork, Utah. As the lead trumpet player, he traveled with the band all over Utah and the surrounding areas playing for private and corporate events. In 2007 the band performed at the IAJE (International Association of Jazz Educators) opening gala concert as the headlining group, going on to give a clinic with Victor Lopez and an additional concert with Wayne Bergeron and Gordon Goodwin.
2007-2008
[edit]After graduating from high school, Charlie moved on to Snow College in Ephraim, Utah to study with Scott Wilson.
