Kiril Lazarov (Template:Lang-mk) (born 10 May 1980 in Sveti Nikole, Republic of Macedonia) is a Macedonian handball player, who currently plays for BM Ciudad Real.
He was top scorer of the EHF Champions League two times with KC Veszprém and RK Zagreb and is the captain of the Republic of Macedonia national handball team.
On 29 January 2009, Lazarov became world record-holder for the number of goals scored in one World Championship. In nine games he scored 92 goals for the Macedonia national team at the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship that took place in Croatia.[1]
On 24 March 2009, Kiril Lazarov was awarded the Medal for Service to the Country by the then-president of the Republic of Macedonia Branko Crvenkovski in acknowledgement of his sport achievements and his contribution to developing and popularizing sport in Macedonia as well as promoting the country abroad.[2]
Kiril Lazarov is married to his wife Ljubica since June 2006. They have two children, a boy named Blagojče and a girl - Lana.[3]
