The Mosquito was a military aircraft that saw action in World War II in the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom. It was a twin engine aircraft with the pilot and navigator sitting side-by-side. Its construction was entirely of wood held together with glue and screws. The Mosquito, although originally developed as a tactical bomber, was used in the war for unarmed reconaissance and as a target-marking plane for nighttime strategic bombing.
