The discography of Green Day, an American rock band formed in 1987 in Berkeley, California, consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, three compilation albums, three extended plays, two video albums, thirty-three singles, and twenty-nine music videos.

Green Day released their first two albums, 39/Smooth (1990) and Kerplunk, through the independent Berkeley label Lookout! Records before signing to major label Reprise for 1994's Dookie. Dookie was a breakout success, selling over 10 million copies in the United States and 20 million copies worldwide, and placed Green Day at the forefront of the 1990s punk rock revival.[1][2]

Green Day's next three albums—Insomniac (1995), Nimrod (1997), and Warning (2000)—were not as successful as Dookie, though the former two achieved double platinum sales certifications while the latter achieved platinum status.[3] Green Day's 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the band's popularity with a younger generation, selling nearly 6 million copies in the United States and over 14 million copies worldwide.[4] 21st Century Breakdown followed in 2009.

Green Day has sold over 65 million albums worldwide, including 24.5 million in the United States alone.[5][6]
