Ed Nelson (born March 18, 1982) is an American Professional Basketball Player and former NFL Tight End (St Louis Rams) 2006.
Basketball
Ed Nelson began his college basketball career as a power forward for Georgia Tech in 2001. He won ACC Rookie of the Year award in 2002, an honor he shares with Michael Jordan, Ralph Sampson, Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, and Kenny Anderson. After two years he transferred to the University of Connecticut to be closer to his family. He now plays for Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca is the team-mate of Former N.B.A point guard Pepe Sanchez. Nelson was the Leading Scorer Liga Nacional de Básquet of the 2009 season Avg 20.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg.
Music
Ed Nelson released a rap CD in 2006 that included the popular country-tinged rap "Pickup Truck".
