Jean Paul Yontcha (born on the 15th May, 1983) is a football player from Cameroon, currently playing for S.C. Olhanense.

Football Career

Yontcha began his football career in Sable FC, a 1st Division team in Cameroon that once participated in the CAF Champions League, precisely the year in which Yontcha represented this club (season 2000-2001). His skills immediately stood out, having scored 9 goals in 36 games.

Thanks to his qualities, Yontcha was signed up by the Kenyans of Thika United, who were attempting to climb up to (for the first time) the top level of the local championship, and which was achieved precisely when Yontcha was defending the colours of this club.

After a year playing in Kenya, Yontcha was contracted by the Algerians of CA Bordj Bou Arreridj, a club that he represented from 2002 a 2006, and in which he scored 22 goals in 44 games.

Following his experience in Algeria, Yontcha headed to Qatar, where he represented the top club of this country, Al-Sadd SC, from the capital city Doha. Here, Yontcha achieved with his club something that no other club had achieved in the history of Qatar football: he helped Al-Sadd SC obtain the “quadruple” victory in 4 of the national football competitions), in 2007. During his time in Qatar, Yontcha scored 18 goals in 30 games. This successful period in Qatar served to attract European attention to Yontchas immense qualities, and he was signed up by Otopeni club of Bucharest, Romania.

After a year playing in Romania, Yontcha headed to Belenenses, Portugal, where he was immediately considered the 2nd best striker of the team during the championship, scoring 5 goals in 19 games.
Nevertheless, the poor championship played by Belenenses, and Yontchas playing skills and goals served to attract the attention of Sporting Clube Olhanense, a club with which he has signed a contract for two seasons.
