DJ Miko
DJ Miko, born Monier Quartararo Gagliardo on 8th February 1973, is an Italian DJ.[1] He had a hit with a cover of Four Non Blondes's "What's Up" in 1994, one year after the original. His version, featuring British vocalist Louise Gard, hit #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #6 in the United Kingdom.
DJ Miko has also made many appearances on the eurodance compilation Dancemania series specifically its sub-series albums including Dancemania Speed and Dancemania Covers since 1999,[2] and on Konami's Bemani series of rhythm music video games with his covers of Jigsaw's Sky High and The Knack's My Sharona.
The Impostor DJ Miko: Jeremy Clark-Erskine
In November 2009, this Wikipedia page was edited by Jeremy Clark-Erskine, a known con artist and identity fraudster from Indiana.[3] Clark-Erskine deleted all history of the real DJ Miko from Italy and claimed that he was DJ Miko, using the alias Jocko Abramovitch, purporting to be of Scottish/Icelandic and Russian origin and even posting a photo of himself. Clark-Erskine's false bio included bogus claims of military heroism and charity work. In truth Clark-Erskine is a serial offender with a history of fraud convictions in the US and Canada.[4] After approximately three months in the Los Angeles area, during which time as "Jocko Abramovitch" he claimed to be a freelance journalist for BBC America, even taking part in the November 2009 Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp under the pretense of filming a podcast, Clark-Erskine was finally arrested in Culver City in early January 2010.[5] This page has been edited in the wake of his most recent arrest so as to undo and expose Clark-Erskine's scam and restore the correct information about the real DJ Miko.
