Vandalism
Please refer to the discussion section of Galatasaray before making such changes or it will be considered vandalism. 74.74.162.52 (talk) 17:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Please recheck your sources (as well as your indentation). Galatasaray's success in the context presented at the introduction to the article is not limited to football within Turkey; the opening sentence refers to Galatasaray's success worldwide (where Galatasaray is unarguabley the most successful Turkish club - see the 2000 Uefa Cup, 2001 Super Cup and the 1989 Champions League seasons). For a similar introduction example please check the Wikipedia entires for Liverpool FC, Real Madrid FC, and Juventus FC. Thank you. 74.74.162.52 (talk) 08:00, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Besiktas
Hey Redman,
Thanks for your nice piece of work however, i think the table could be better (for instance the flags as you mentioned or coloured background such as grey in many articles). Could you either amend your framework, please?

Speedy deletion of Ahmet Akçan

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. BigDunc (talk) 16:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Olympiacos F.C.. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Cenarium (talk) 23:36, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 12:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Your edit
Sorry, but is there any reason you did this? According to my references, Muhsin Ertugral did not play in that certain match - but Theo Poel did. In the Ertugral article, it is not mentioned that he ever played for Standard Liege. Theo Poel is correct. I'm gonna undo your revision now; please don't do the same again. Thank you. --Scooter (this one) 12:47, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Gunes.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gunes.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:19, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Why no need for the flags of the manager and the chairman where every major football club page includes this?

File source problem with File:Bekir refet.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Bekir refet.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:56, 17 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.35.251 (talk) 23:56, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Huns
Thanks for your help with this page. I'm happy that you have included it in the category Turkic peoples. The category is relevant because the Huns have been claimed as Turkish, and the leading academic guess is that their main language probably was related to the Turkish family. However, I also note that the Huns have been claimed as Mongolian, Magyar, Yeniseian, and other, and that mainstream scholarship knows very little of what language they spoke. You will note some of those claims on the talk page. We have managed to keep them out of the relevant articles, which should reflect mainstream scholarship. Hi there REDMAN19, VASCO from Portugal here,
sorry i took so long to reply. I will start some discussion in the article's talk page still this week before i make any further changes, but i would like to outline some stuff to you now, so you can have a better idea of what i try(ed) to do:
1 - If there are no copyright violations, i really don't know why a better picture (more updated, in colour) is replaced with a poorer one (black-and-white, etc);
2 - Intro seemed a bit poor in display (i will have a better look before i remove/change anything, but it looks that way), with references i added being removed, really don't know why.
I will add these and more inputs in Sukur's talkpage, before any further moves. Sorry for any incovenience, keep up the good work - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 02:48, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- After all my hard work, improving overall display of article, explaining my changes at your talk page, and in great length in the article's talkpage...Booom! You reverted everything - everything, every single word i wrote or corrected, strange, as i tried to profit from the edits of several users, yourself included - without one word in summary, but accusing me wrongfully of removing major info, a total lie! Last time i edited the page (more than 2 hours of work), only thing i removed was the SAKARYA PROVINCE in infobox, explaining that box would be too big that way and that it appeared in storyline. Another thing - another repetition from me: birthplace does not appear in INTRO, but storyline proper, it's WP guidelines, not VASCOAMARAL guidelines.
About removing major info: why do you continue to remove Premier League and Serie A references in intro, then accuse me of being the one who removes things? In one thing you are correct (and by the way, thank you for accepting the better picture, since there is no copyright violation involved), i am going to WP:FOOTY now, leave a message (you can participate too) and ask for inputs from both members of the project and/or administrators. Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:40, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Another thing Red: if you decide to edit the article again, please do what i did, take from here and there, use all the users' inputs, instead of removing everything i wrote. Thank you in advance, the discussion at WP:FOOTY is ready to get started - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:53, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Bro we cannot change a whole article like that, let just an admin look at it first Redman19 (talk) 18:02, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Incredible!! You say "we cannot change an article just like that", after i wrote all i wrote here and at Sukur's talkpage, then remove EVERTYHING i input there, EVERYTHING, thank you very much. As i told you before, i have started the discussion at the proper pannel, if they say your version is better, i will leave the article alone (with SÜPER LIG written 500 times), i expect the same courtesy from you. - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:06, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- P.S. And have you noticed how Turkish Cup is not named "Turkiye Kupasi" anymore? I corrected it, you reverted it, re-creating redirect, thank you for respecting my work as much as you say i don't respect the other users'. I really wanted to work as a team, shame you don't see it my way. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:10, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Im only reverting back the article to its original state, you are the one that keeps reverting the article to complete something else. Redman19 (talk) 11:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Hakan Şükür Part 2
Hi there Redman,
Vasco indicated over at the WP:FOOTBALL project that you would like another administrator/editor to have a look at their proposed changes to the Hakan Şükür article. I am an administrator here, but I should point out that administrators do not make final decisions regarding the content of articles - so I'm happy to help as an experienced editor with an interest in football articles but you should not need an administrator specifically to assist.
I'm still at work, so I've only been able to have a quick look at the article, but I wanted to get in touch with you to let you know that I'm hoping we can come to a compromise around the edits Vasco is looking to make. I note that you were happy to change the image when the benefits were pointed out, so that is a good start. Is there a specific problem that you have with the edits he has made, besides the fact that it is a large change to make all at once? If there was a specific part of the change that you disagree with, it will make it much easier to try to come to a compromise and make sure both of you are happy with the state of the article.
It's always good to have people interested in football editing articles here, so I hope that you are willing to work with us to keep improving the articles and discuss any disagreements in a constructive manner. I'm going to have a look at the proposed changes to the article in detail later tonight, and I'll leave a comment on the article talk page with what I think. Camw (talk) 05:02, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
The problem here is that if a few things need a change than only change that but not a whole page, the user above us is reverting the whole page to his own version, I think its just better to change only little parts of the page who are in NEED of a change Redman19 (talk) 11:31, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- I've posted a pretty long comment on the article talk page, please have a look and respond when you can. Camw (talk) 12:32, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- Further to your comment above, I don't think there is too much wrong with large changes as long as they improve the article. Editors are encouraged to be bold and nobody owns articles here. Camw (talk) 12:34, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
I know, but the user reverted the page with this text: I reverted it back to my version. Redman19 (talk) 13:00, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- Anyway, let's try to move forward and reach an agreement between all of us. Camw (talk) 13:06, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hey Redman, i already apologized for "reverting back to my version", it was wrong on my part, now it's YOU who does not allow one single input from me! Let's be clear on this one please - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:14, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
