Kanpur Lucknow Roadways Service is the most frequent and busiest Bus service in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It connects the two capitals of the state. UPSRTC provides a vast variety of bus services i.e. General buses, Pawan Gold, Sheetal (A.C.), Shatabdi (A.C.), Volvo (A.C.)[1] and Sleeper Bus Service.

The distance between two metro's is 82 km by road and 72 km by train, hence it is very competitive for the UPSRTC to provide fast and frequent service of variety of buses. Lucknow-Kanpur Suburban Railway provides hourly MEMU and [[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_multiple_unit |EMU ]] service with a cheap cost of just 11 Rs per person. it takes around 100 minutes to cover the distance by train. With respect to the train service UPSRTC provides a very frequent bus service between two metropolis. The frequency of the Kanpur Lucknow Roadways Service is 5 to 10 minutes means a bus from Kanpur to Lucknow or vice versa is available at each 5 minute interval. The fare from Kanpur to Lucknow and from Lucknow to Kanpur are different due to different route in Kanpur for UP and DOWN route. It takes less than 2 hours to complete the journey.
