Nadia Khan is a Pakistani television presenter, actress and producer.

Biography

She was born on May 22, 1972 in Quetta, Pakistan. She made her television debut through NTM in 1996. She then hosted a show called Daak Time (Mail Time) with Uncle Sargam which was popular among children PTV.[citation needed]

She made a comeback to acting in the year 2005 with an Eid Special Show in which she acted opposite Ijaz Aslam and Sadia Imam. She also appeared in a ARY Digital soap called Koi To Ho in 2003. She later left the show to work as a host on ARY, then left it to work on Geo TV.

She was asked to leave GEO TV on September 30, 2010 since the show has a very low rating due to lack of any rational discussion with the guests. [citation needed]

Career

Khan returned as an anchor on ARY Digital's morning show Breakfast with Nadia. The show went on air from Dubai in the year 2006. After leaving ARY Digital for unknown reasons in 2008, she moved to Geo TV Khan then hosted Geo TV's morning show called Nadia Khan Show. Her show featured interviews with Pakistani celebrities, artists, performers, religious leaders, athletes and politicians. There were also segments on Islam, health and beauty, among others. Her show was the highest-rated morning show in Pakistan.[citation needed]

Awards and acknowledgments

Khan claims that she has won Masala Awards for Best host in 2009[1], She also claim that She has also won a best actress award for her hit PTV Drama serial Bandhan {1998}. Both claims yet to be confirmed.[citation needed]

She also announced herself as the "Oprah Winfrey" of Pakistan in year 2007 and claimed herself the queen of morning talk shows of Pakistan. Her show is quiet popular in the village of Pakistan.
