Holyoake Range (82°13′S 160°0′E / 82.217°S 160.000°E / -82.217; 160.000) is a range in the south part of the Churchill Mountains, extending in a NW-SE direction for about 25 nautical miles (46 km) between Prince Philip and Errant Glaciers. Named by the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee (NZ-APC) for the Rt. Hon. K.J. Holyoake who, as Minister of Agriculture, then Prime Minister and later as Leader of the Opposition, gave strong support to New Zealand participation in Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1956-58.
